My favourite inexpensive, comfy cardigans
I believe that any stylish woman has a handful of cardigans in their wardrobe. No longer thought of as a frumpy, reminds me of my school uniform or something my Grandma would wear, item in the wardrobe…no way! I found some inexpensive and super stylish cardigans in Zara. There’s a cardigan for every woman…cropped and playful, chunky and oversized, long kimono style, cable knit and cardigans with glorious ornate buttons to dress up any outfit.
It’s my favourite in-between piece in my wardrobe, a transition from a lightweight blouse or t-shirt to a full-on jacket or coat. I love my cardigan to lounge around in the house and it’s just enough for when I need to pop out to run errands. We’re all looking for ways to look stylish without too much fuss – your cardi is going to keep you cosy, comfy and chic throughout the fall.
I like to wear my longer cardigans (above the knee) with skinny or straight leg jeans or chinos. I sometimes even belt my cardigan and add some knee-high boots. I pair it with a simple tee underneath or a silk camisole or lace body to add a dose of ‘sexy’ The cardis cropped to the waist, look great with a skirt (straight and long or an A-line midi or slip skirt) or even wide leg palazzo pants. The full-length, kimono inspired cardigans look fab over a wide-pant… for those ladies with a fuller figure, keep the underneath base all one colour and then add the long cardi (whatever colour) over the top.
I also found gorgeous cardigans in a smooth, lightweight knit. Slip on with silky evening pants or skirt, button up leaving the last couple open to show off your décolleté, add some sparkly earrings, lip gloss to catch the light and you’re good to go.
Go on ladies…find the cardigan that you love and loves you.
