Fear of Greatness

As Marianne Williamson said : “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’
Actually, who are you not to be”

Let’s be honest, we all know about the fear of failure and it often holds me back from taking action. To try and fail feels so much more palatable, predictable and straightforward.  We try something, it doesn’t work and we go back to what we know and feels comfortable.  Whereas success will mean change and that can be difficult for some people even if they think that’s what they want.

Don’t let that inner critic take charge and hold you back from success.
That voice inside of you that’s always telling you that you should have done it differently or you’ve got it wrong.  You musn’t let the inner critic take hold, otherwise it will control everything you do or even dream of doing… it’s self-defeating and damaging to carry guilt and blame.  Feeling devalued and not good enough will get you nowhere.  You must kick that fear to the curb and know how unique and special you are!

Imagine what your life would look like with the success you’re aiming for, once you have a framework and a goal just power forward, knowing fear will always be present but do it anyway and expect success.

Here are 4 things to remember on your journey towards success:

• You are unique, don’t compare yourself to others.
• Take responsibility and commit to your own happiness.
• Have supportive and affirming thoughts of yourself.
• Develop an attitude of gratitude, you will feel more positive and satisfied.

This takes courage and time, but only YOU can make it happen.
